I heartily recommend that your bloggers go back and look up Shalini Venturelli's piece, "FROM THE INFORMATION ECONOMY TO THE CREATIVE ECONOMY: Moving Culture to the Center of International Public Policy." [http://www.culturalpolicy.org/pdf/venturelli.pdf] While her piece is almost 12 years old, her observations, insights, and recommendations are highly relevant to this conversation.
