What a beautiful tribute to such a great pianist! I have been listening to Van Cliburn since I was a child, and the first time I heard him, I was in awe! I am an artist, a painter who knows very little about music , but anyone, including myself with a pair of ears that work, can hear his fabulous musical talent, instantly! Over the years I have watched TV shows about The Cliburn Competition and have loved watching musicians compete from all over the world!!! Thanks, Amanda Meer for posting this on your blog. And to Mr. Van Cliburn, thank you so much for all the years of wonderful music. You have been an inspiration to so many ,including myself.
