The Artful Manager

Andrew Taylor on the business of arts & culture

July 14, 2018 by Andrew Taylor

This week marks the 15th anniversary of the launch of The Artful Manager blog, brought to life through the invitation and innovative brilliance of ArtsJournal editor Doug McLennan, and my own growing curiosities at the intersection of art and management and collective action.

I know that the blog has become deeply sporadic in posts, particularly over the past few years. I’m still wading through some long-form explorations of arts and cultural management, and also managing life as a tenured faculty and department chair. I’ll find a new rhythm one of these days. But in the meanwhile, I’m so grateful for the space this blog has provided for me to think out loud, and the network of amazing people it has brought into my life.

More as it comes to me. But for now, an acknowledgement of 15 years of rambling in this place.
