Squidoo, GetActive, and Netsquared give us a list of 59 of the ”smartest ORGs online,” nonprofit web sites selected and praised for their innovative use of social networking and rich media in advancing their causes. Only a few arts/cultural entries on the list, but still worth a visit to see who’s pushing the system.
Charles Phipps says
You mention “only a few arts/culture sites” on the list, but I don’t see a single performing arts organization or museum. Such entities are usually geared toward pursuing the attentions of their patrons, but also the most likely these days to be suffering from declining audiences. If I were an arts manager, I’d be thinking about how to use technology this way to engage my supporters who may be distracted by multifarious tech-based entertainments.
