It’s time again for the annual pilgrimage to the Association of Performing Arts Presenters annual conference in New York City, where some 4000 performing arts professionals, artists, managers, and service/support organizations gather to plan their seasons and build their tours. I’ll be there with a team of my MBA students, who have been commissioned to prepare and present a sixth annual session at the conference, as part of the William Dawson Research Initiative.
Heading to Arts Presenters in NYC
January 6, 2011 by Leave a Comment
This year’s topic is ”possible futures” for the live performing arts, where the students will define four scenarios for the world in 2021, and discuss with the participants what performing arts presenters might do to succeed in those worlds. If you’re attending Arts Presenters, be sure to stop by Concourse C in the New York Hilton on Saturday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 am. More details on the presentation, and the Dawson initiative, are available here.
As ever, I’ll be blogging from the conference, and posting shorter links and thoughts through my Twitter feed. If you want to follow multiple Twits from the conference, follow the hashtag #apap.
