This magnificent hour-long suite conveys Jack Reilly’s emotional (spiritual?) strength and optimism. I had some sense of this already from hearing his Maybeck Hall recital recording (also identified because of a Rifftides note) and from a brief but satisfying phone conversation in which we quickly uncovered a number of shared enthusiasms, e.g. Jimmy Rowles.
