Aesthetic Grounds

Public Art, Public Space

Favorite Public Art on Facebook

July 12, 2015 by Glenn Weiss

I went back over the last six months to see which of by my daily facebook posts received the most “likes” and “shares”.  I assume that “sharing” is the highest like.   The sculpture in Denmark by Indian artists Arunkumar H G was the highest with 125 likes and 46 shares.  Chiharu Shioto‘s 50,000 keys on red string may be the most social media distributed artwork from the 2015 Venice Biennale.  My 3000+ friends are 95% artists, curators and arts administrators.    The only living American born artist to rank high was Xenobia Bailey.  See the second list of favorites at this post.
