It dives deeply \u2013 for two hours \u2013 into musical topics. It attracts a distinguished international audience. I will be discussing my new book\u00a0<em>Dvorak\u2019s Prophecy and the Vexed Fate of Black Classical Music<\/em>, and also sampling the companion\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/josephhorowitz.com\/content.asp?elemento_id=70\"><em>Dvorak\u2019s Prophecy<\/em>\u00a0films<\/a><\/strong> I\u2019ve produced for Naxos in collaboration with PostClassical Ensemble.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As many of you will know, Kirill Gerstein is a probing concert pianist with extensive jazz training \u2013 someone who performs the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/uq\/2018\/02\/the-gershwin-moment.html\">Gershwin concerto<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with improvised passagework.
