And far from seeming heavy-handed, he made it feel oracular, as though his character could have saved everybody a lot of ramshackle shagging if his character had been given the chance.

See also: Kathy Bates in Titanic and Primary Colors; Chris Cooper in The Town.

<fieldset class="zemanta-related">
<legend class="zemanta-related-title">Related articles</legend>

‘The Hour’ on BBC, With Dominic West – Review – NYTimes.com (jlshannon.wordpress.com)

The Hour reviewed: Ben Whishaw, Romola Garai, and Dominic West in a Mad Men-like drama set at the BBC in 1956. (slate.com)

Clive James on… Dominic West in Appropriate Adult (telegraph.co.uk)

‘The Hour’: Intrigue At The BBC (npr.org)

Television Review | ‘The Hour’: Espionage in the Government and Shenanigans at Work (tv.nytimes.com)

</fieldset>

Ever since Viola Davis stole Doubt from Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman, there have been several looming instances where character actors ingest whole scripts.
