In this return to the Blue Note label after nearly half a century, Smith gives monumental trio performances of Thelonious Monk\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Straight No Chaser\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and Richard Rodgers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153My Favorite Things.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d In septet and sextet collaborations with his former saxophone sideman Joe Lovano, he tears it up in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Afrodesia\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and his composition \u00e2\u20ac\u0153For Heaven\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Sake.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Among the other guest artists in this inspired album are pianist Robert Glasper, saxophonist-flutist John Ellis,  drummer Jonathan Blake and the impressive young trumpeters Maurice Brown and Keyon Harold. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an intergenerational fiesta.
