I gave him the short version, but it occurs to me that folks interested in Desmond might want to hear a fuller account.  I gave one a few years ago when I was the guest on Jason Crane\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s wonderful interview program <em>The Jazz Session<\/em>. (That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the plug.)
