She unifies the pieces with a rhythmic pulse, musicianly phrasing and the subtlety of a slight terminal vibrato on note endings. Her \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Danger in Loving You\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and a gospel treatment of Sarah Masen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Carry Us Through\u00e2\u20ac\u009d have qualities that could send them onto soul charts. Accompanied by piano, bass and baritone saxophone, she scats half a chorus of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Our Love Is Here To Stay,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d exhibiting an understanding of the chords, a trait not rampant among scat singers.
