I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been thinking that I should post something about this American holiday dedicated to the men and women who have sacrificed years of their lives&#8212;and in too many cases life itself&#8212;to keep us free. <\/p>\n<p>I did not watch a parade. I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t go to church. I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t visit a cemetery. I spent considerable time thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of a system that makes ultimate demands on the best of its citizens.
