Following some of your links, I ran across Dave Frishberg\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s article on the Half Note, and saw a comment after it by someone looking for the name of the book in which he had That book by Bill and his second one, Jazz Anecdotes: Second Time Around<\/em><\/a>, are full of stories about jazz and jazz musicians, many of them from his first-hand observations. The Frishberg post that he refers to was on Rifftides<\/em> in June of 2007. Evidently, the publishing platform disables comments after a few years. It doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t disable the items, though, and you can still read Frishberg\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s reminiscences about one of the great jazz clubs, its denizens and the colorful family who ran it.
