Desmond head shot\" width=\"200\" height=\"205\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6888\" \/><\/a> the spring of 1977. I was pleased that David asked me to appear with him to talk a bit about Paul and his music.<\/p>\n<p>The program includes tracks from a variety of Desmond albums, among them his live quartet dates with guitarist Ed Bickert, his concert with the Modern Jazz Quartet and his appearance with the all-star band at Duke Ellington\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 70th birthday party at the White House.
