Abetted by the ESP of Bisio\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and Dickey\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s reactions, Shipp\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time displacement rules \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Satin Doll.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d The trio takes \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the \u00e2\u20ac\u2122A\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Train\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on a wild ride breathtakingly close to, but not over, the edge of coherence. So it goes through seven Ellington pieces and four compatible Shipp originals.
