Sanders, a New Orleans native, leads his trio in a new album produced by the veteran pianist Fred Hersch. Strosahl\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s debut album is planned for midyear.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Nick-Sanders-piano.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Nick-Sanders-piano.jpg\" alt=\"Nick Sanders, piano\" width=\"200\" height=\"196\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6524\" \/><\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>A recent installment of Strosahl\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and Sanders\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 occasional series of <emYouTube<\/em> duo posts has them taking risks in a compact version of Thelonious Monk\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Nutty.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d We precede it with Monk\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s initial Prestige recording of the piece with Percy Heath, bass; and Art Blakey, drums.
