Here is a sample from a collection of Desmond\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most quoted bon mots, now translated into Spanish.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Prob\u00c3\u00a9 a practica unas pocas semanas y acab\u00c3\u00a9 tocando demasiado r\u00c3\u00a1pido.<br \/>\n(I tried practicing for a couple of weeks and ended up playing too fast.) <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The translator, Fernando Ortiz de Urbina, writes from London:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Apart from my research on Eddie Costa, I am working on a series of short translations for a Spanish website.  Latest in the series is the Desmondisms and Paul Desmond&#8217;s interview with Charlie Parker, which I&#8217;ve done with the help of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.puredesmond.ca\/desmond1.htm\"target=\"_blank\">Paul Caulfield<\/a>.<br \/>\nI have also mentioned your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parksidepublications.com\/takefive.html\"target=\"_blank\">book on Desmond<\/a>, which left me completely speechless when I opened the box it came in (luckily postage was charged by item, not by the kilo.)
