All but unknown&#151;and unreviewed&#151;in the United States, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Together-Again-At-Jazz-Bakery\/dp\/B006DY9OPE\/?_encoding=UTF8&#038;s=music&#038;tag=rifftidougram-20&#038;linkCode=ur2&#038;qid=1326987322&#038;camp=1789&#038;sr=1-1&#038;creative=9325\"target=\"_blank\">Together Again\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6At The Jazz Bakery<\/a><\/em> features the Swedish pianist with bassist Chuck Berghofer and drummer Joe LaBarbera in a recording they didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know was being made. The CD was voted Record Of The Year in the British magazine <em>Jazz Journal<\/em>\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s critics poll. I gave it first place in the new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/2012\/01\/the-critics-speak.html\"target=\"_blank\"><em>Rhapsody<\/em> critics poll<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>From the <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> piece:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In concerts Mr. Lundgren often credits Oscar Peterson, who died in 2007, with igniting his passion for jazz. He does so again in his most<a href=\"https:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Lundgren-Ystad1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/Lundgren-Ystad1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Lundgren Ystad\" width=\"100\" height=\"84\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3276\" \/><\/a> recent album as he introduces his poignant, unaccompanied performance of &#8220;Tenderly,&#8221; a song indelibly associated with Peterson. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshsoundrecords.com\/together_again..._at_the_jazz_bakery-cd-5625.html\"target=\"_blank\">album <\/a>is remarkable on two counts: for the playing of Mr. Lundgren, Mr. Berghofer and Mr. La Barbera; and for existing at all.
