We assembled on Saturday at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ballardjamhouse.com\/\"target=\"_blank\">Egan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Ballard Jam House<\/a> in Seattle to watch the ceremony by satellite feed from New York. It was one of several satellite parties around the country. John Gilbreath of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earshot.org\/\"target=\"_blank\"><em>Earshot Jazz<\/em><\/a> was among us and received one of the nine Jazz Hero awards, a new category this year.
