That big band of brash young New Yorkers is less of a secret these days than when we <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/2009\/05\/cd_darcy_james_argue\/\"target=\"_blank\">first encountered it<\/a> a couple of years ago. Now, they win polls and sell records. They also occasionally travel out of town. <\/p>\n<p>If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re interested in knowing something of the thinking of one element of the young artists who are helping to shape the future of music, this video from January at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, makes a few disclosures. The band\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s roster follows the clip. The piece is Argue\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Phobos.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d He is the conductor.
