Each of their responses took the form of a photograph.<br \/>\nMr. Harrod sent a copy of a Dolnet ad from an early-1950s issue of the magazine <em>Jazz Hot<\/em>.<br \/>\n<span class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\" style=\"display: inline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/Young%20Dolnet%20ad.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Young Dolnet ad.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/rifftides\/assets_c\/2009\/06\/Young Dolnet ad-thumb-300x391-7380.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"391\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"text-align: center; display: block; margin: 0 auto 20px;\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><small><strong>From the collection of James Harrod<\/strong><\/small><\/div>\n<p>Mr. Koenig took a photograph of Dave Pell with the resuscitated Dolnet, and Lester in the background, at the Los Angeles Jazz Institute&#8217;s <em>A Swingin&#8217; Affair<\/em> festival over Memorial Day weekend.
