Jim features another major musician whom he recently recorded. &#8221;\u00a0The program features a celebrated &#8221;\u00a0drummer who has been a part of the US jazz scene since he left Cuba in 1980. There was so much that we had three tunes left over after last week&#8217;s show, so we&#8217;ll begin this week&#8217;s&#8221;\u00a0Jazz Northwest&#8221;\u00a0with that music, including &#8220;Grease Bucket&#8221; by Wycliffe Gordon, &#8221;\u00a0&#8220;Runferyerlife&#8221; by Bob Mintzer, and &#8220;Splanky&#8221; by Neal Hefti for the Count Basie Orchestra.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Also on this week&#8217;s show&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><em>areRichard Cole and Greta Matassa who will perform at next weekend&#8217;s Lake Chelan Wine and Jazz Festival&#8230;Pete Christlieb and Linda Small&#8230;and some prime vintage Cannonball Adderley from a live broadcast at The Penthouse in Seattle in the Sixties.<\/em><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Jazz Northwest airs on Sundays at 2 PM Pacific on 88.5 KNKX and streams at <a href=\"http:\/\/knkx.org\/\">knkx.org<\/a>.
