I&#8217;ve been watching <em>Ally McBeal <\/em>on Netflix streaming (My Name is Amanda Ameer and <a title=\"Gawker\" href=\"http:\/\/gawker.com\/5793641\/do-you-suffer-from-netflix-streaming-syndrome\">I&#8217;m Addicted to Netflix Streaming<\/a>), and they have what I want: an office that breaks into choreography but not in that cloying <em>Glee <\/em>way.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"560\" height=\"349\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/pQN1COeI75E?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"560\" height=\"349\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/pQN1COeI75E?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Imagine my surprise and delight, then, when a friend showed me this video from Grand Rapids. Here&#8217;s the <em><a title=\"NPR\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/monkeysee\/2011\/06\/01\/136816940\/the-grand-rapids-lip-dub-a-giant-street-party-set-to-music\">NPR <\/a><\/em><a title=\"NPR\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/monkeysee\/2011\/06\/01\/136816940\/the-grand-rapids-lip-dub-a-giant-street-party-set-to-music\">story<\/a>. \u00a0After being included on\u00a0<em>Newsweek&#8217;s<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/2011\/01\/21\/america-s-dying-cities.html\" target=\"_blank\"> list of &#8220;America&#8217;s Dying Cities&#8221;<\/a> , Grand Rapids&#8211;specifically, two directors from Grand Rapids&#8211;raised nearly 40K to make a promotional video for the city. And it totally makes me tear up.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"560\" height=\"349\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/ZPjjZCO67WI?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0\" \/><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"560\" height=\"349\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/ZPjjZCO67WI?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Of course, this also made me cry back in the day.
