Sure enough, when I came up on 57th street and 8th avenue, there was a fleet of four scooters with Carnegie ads attached parked along the sidewalk. Naturally, I walked up to them and asked what the situation was. They told me they were going to Carnegie Hall (“right down the road!”) next, and that they had been to Wall Street, Union Square, and Columbus Circle that day.

Here are some photos:

Taking a breather.
“Right down the road.”
Making me eat their dust. My sister constantly mocks my disorganized wallet, but little does she know it’s all an elaborate ploy to have various membership cards fall onto counters just as I’m spending too much on hand-printed stationary. Even less germane to this blog post than the museum/stationary discount, I also learned today that if you don’t drink the beet juice you bought last Wednesday, it will explode all over the place and you will look like that True Blood Rolling Stone cover but a lot less hot.

When my friend Abigail from IMG e mailed to say that there were “delightful little scooters” outside Carnegie Hall today, I knew I had to take a detour from my lunchtime eyebrow threading appointment and see it for myself.
