Highlights included a trip to a place called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.labelshopper.com\/\">Label $hopper<\/a>&#8221; to buy a sweater and learning that &#8220;Wi-Fi&#8221; is the new &#8220;HBO&#8221; is the new &#8220;jacuzzi&#8221; in New England motel speak. I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ll all be shocked to learn that I noticed some good marketing along the way. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarkart.edu\/\">The Clark<\/a> in Williamstown cleverly offers various ticket packages for other Berkshires attractions:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ClarkAdmissions.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/lifesapitch\/ClarkAdmissions.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"600\" width=\"450\" \/>When I first looked at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wtfestival.org\/\">Williamstown Theater Festival<\/a> website to buy myself a ticket to <i>Six Degrees of Separation <\/i>(worth another read or movie-viewing with Facebook in mind), I wondered if they knew that their initials spelled out &#8220;WTF.&#8221; Yikes! Turns out, they&#8217;ve embraced their awkward initials and just completely gone for it in their merchandise and marketing materials:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"WilliamstownTheaterFestival.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/lifesapitch\/WilliamstownTheaterFestival.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"600\" width=\"450\" \/>In the lobby at MASS MoCA, they&#8217;re running a visitor-participation board, asking museum-goers to answer the question, &#8220;What movie should be set in the Sol LeWitt Wall Drawing Retrospective?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"SolLeWitt3.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/lifesapitch\/SolLeWitt3.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"600\" width=\"450\" \/><br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"SolLeWitt1.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/lifesapitch\/SolLeWitt1.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"338\" width=\"450\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"SolLeWitt2.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/lifesapitch\/SolLeWitt2.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"338\" width=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<div>In case you can&#8217;t read the above, suggestions include <i>Hair, The Sound of Music (exclamation point!), Boyz N The Hood, The Brave Little Toaster, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Born into Brothels, The Life Aquatic\/The Darjeeling Limited, The Shawshank Redemption, <\/i>and <i>Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. <\/p>\n<p><\/i>As usual, Bang on a Can comes up with amazing concert spaces.
