Via my summer intern via <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/music\/2010\/jul\/02\/aretha-franklin-duet-condoleezza-rice\">The Guardian<\/a>, <\/i>I bring you the &#8220;OMG&#8221; moment of the week: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The &#8220;Queen of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/music\/soul\" title=\"More from guardian.co.uk on Soul\">Soul<\/a>&#8221; is to team up with the former queen of the US state department at a concert in Philadelphia next month. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/music\/aretha-franklin\" title=\"More from guardian.co.uk on Aretha Franklin\">Aretha Franklin<\/a> will duet with former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, performing songs such as Natural Woman and Say a Little Prayer.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nconcert, a fundraising event for inner city children, takes place on 27<br \/>\nJuly, at the Mann Centre for the Performing Arts. Franklin and Rice<br \/>\nwill appear as guests of the Philadelphia Orchestra and conductor<br \/>\nRossen Milanov. Rice will accompany the orchestra for <b>Mozart&#8217;s Piano<br \/>\nConcerto in D minor <i>[Editor&#8217;s Note: #$(*!)@#(!@_@]<\/i><\/b><b><i> <\/i>,<\/b> before joining Franklin to perform classic soul<br \/>\nanthems and a selection of arias.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And here&#8217;s the best part:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Franklin, 68, is a Democrat who did not vote for Rice&#8217;s former<br \/>\nemployer.
