It was just so nice outside, and since I went to a 6:30pm concert, it wasn&#8217;t a Completely Idiotic move on my part. I&#8217;m glad I did, since I realized that I&#8217;ve never actually been on Broadway between 79th street and 72nd street before, which is bizarre but not entirely surprising (thank you, seven-blocks-apart-subway stops). If I had been on Broadway between 79th street and 72nd street before this fine August&#8230;I mean May&#8230;evening, I surely would have noticed this:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"CurlUpAndDye.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/lifesapitch\/CurlUpAndDye.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"375\" width=\"500\" \/>Sorry folks: this post has nothing to do with classical music publicity, but the amazing people who went for it and named their place of business the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/curl-up-and-dye-salon-new-york\">Curl Up &amp; Dye Salon<\/a>&#8221; deserved a shout-out.&nbsp; 78th Street and Broadway, New York City, New York. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I walked to 96th street from Jazz at Lincoln Center (at 59th street) tonight.
