Here&#8217;s his description:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This blog, which takes its name from a <a onclick=\"s_objectID=\" http:=\"\" www.cpdl.org=\"\" wiki=\"\" index.php=\"\" unquiet_thoughts_%28john_dowland%29_1=\"\" ;return=\"\" this.s_oc?this.s_oc(e):true=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cpdl.org\/wiki\/index.php\/Unquiet_thoughts_%28John_Dowland%29\">part-song<\/a> by the English Renaissance master John Dowland, will consist of short commentaries, addenda to <em>New Yorker<\/em><br \/>\npieces, audio excerpts from recommended new CDs, links to novelties and<br \/>\noddities around the Internet, and the like. My old site, with its <a onclick=\"s_objectID=\" http:=\"\" www.therestisnoise.com=\"\" audio=\"\" _1=\"\" ;return=\"\" this.s_oc?this.s_oc(e):true=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.therestisnoise.com\/audio\/\" target=\"_blank\">library<\/a><br \/>\nof twentieth-century audio samples, will remain intact, and perhaps<br \/>\nexpand from time to time. Unquiet Thoughts won&#8217;t be a blog of the<br \/>\nreader-bombarding, twenty-posts-a-day kind, but I hope to provide<br \/>\nenough fresh matter to warrant a few visits a week.
