Here are the details from their websites:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h1><font style=\"font-size: 1.25em;\">Free Tosca Open House Announced!<\/font><\/h1>\n<p>September 2, 2009<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t miss the season-opening new production of <i>Tosca<\/i>&#8211;four<br \/>\ndays before Opening Night. On Thursday, September 17, the Met will<br \/>\nlaunch its fourth season of free Open Houses, with the final dress<br \/>\nrehearsal of Luc Bondy&#8217;s new staging of Puccini&#8217;s opera, starring<br \/>\nKarita Mattila and conducted by Music Director James Levine.<\/p>\n<p>Three<br \/>\nthousand free tickets, limited to two per person, will be available<br \/>\nbeginning at noon on Sunday, September 13, at the Met box office only.<br \/>\nThe rehearsal starts at 11am on September 17, with doors opening at<br \/>\n10:30am.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Tosca\" href=\"http:\/\/www.metoperafamily.org\/metopera\/season\/production.aspx?id=10372\"><em>Tosca<\/em><\/a> is the first of three Open Houses planned for the&nbsp;<a title=\"2009-10 season\" href=\"http:\/\/www.metoperafamily.org\/metopera\/season\/index.aspx?nav=top\">2009-10 season<\/a>. General admission tickets will be handed out on a<br \/>\nfirst-come, first-served basis, starting at 8:00AM that morning, on<br \/>\nLincoln Center&#8217;s Josie Robertson Plaza. All attendees will receive<br \/>\ndiscount coupons to a future Philharmonic concert and have the chance<br \/>\nto win free concert tickets, autographed programs, and pre-loaded<br \/>\niPods. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"columnContainer\">\n<div id=\"eventDates\">\n<p>This is all-around generosity: generosity from the sponsors, obviously, but also generosity from the artists and the organizations&#8217; staff members, who have extremely busy weeks and, in the case of the Philharmonic, a very long night ahead of them. I also like that the Philharmonic is dolling out the swag, maybe from the balcony <i>Evita <\/i>style. They will change your way of life for a concert or even two-ooo.<\/p>\n<p>My intern Nate got to The Met at 11am on Sunday and snapped this photo.
