The end of seven months of Monday music by trombonist Craig Harris’<\/a> funky and exciting\u00c2\u00a0improvising ensemble at Harlem’s Dwyer Cultural Center is one sad part of an all too common story, told in my latest CityArts column<\/a>. Even when space for community arts activity is required by the city for real estate development, there’s no guarantee that funding to cover the activity’s overhead is forthcoming. Belt-tightning continues throughout the spectrum of arts-presenters, but the musicians must and will find someplace to play.<\/p>\n
