But maybe Jazz Appreciation Month should have a component of celebration of how citizens and residents of <i>all<\/i> backgrounds contribute to our culture, rich yet complicated and conflicted as it certainly is.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/jazzbeyondjazz\/louis%20and%20lil.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"mt-image-left\" style=\"float: left;
