{"id":387,"date":"2011-03-30T12:22:56","date_gmt":"2011-03-30T16:22:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/jazzbeyondjazz\/wp\/2011\/03\/beyond_jazz_in_and_to_jordan\/"},"modified":"2011-03-30T12:22:56","modified_gmt":"2011-03-30T16:22:56","slug":"beyond_jazz_in_and_to_jordan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/jazzbeyondjazz\/2011\/03\/beyond_jazz_in_and_to_jordan.html","title":{"rendered":"Beyond jazz, in and to Jordan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jordan&#8217;s capitol <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitjordan.com\/Default.aspx?tabid=64\">Amman<\/a>&nbsp;isn&#8217;t an obvious hot spot for jazz, yet I found interest, knowledge and exciting players during my visit there a couple weeks ago &#8212; from which I&#8217;m barely recovered. &nbsp;A couple of postings and I hope a video of bass guitarist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jo.jo\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=1505:yacoub-abu-ghosh-the-serious-man&amp;catid=77:culture&amp;Itemid=176\">Yacoub Abu Ghosh<\/a>&#8216;s band from its weekly Tuesday night gig at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Restaurant_Review-g293986-d954056-Reviews-Canvas-Amman.html\">Canvas<\/a> will follow.
