Something<br \/>\nvile here. I suspect everyone.&#8221;<\/P><br \/>\n<P>If you&#8217;re looking for in-depth commentary on the flap, however,&nbsp;look no further than<br \/>\nBruce Fierstein (channeling Jonathan Swift), who offers these <A class=inline\nhref=\"http:\/\/observer.com\/pages\/newyorkdiary.asp\" target='new\"'><B><FONT\ncolor=#003399>wise words<\/FONT><\/B><\/A>:<\/P><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE>Go left, young Dan.<br \/>\n<P>Give up the ghost, stop ridin&#8217; that dead horse. Come out of the closet, drop this objectivity<br \/>\nthing, and take the only sane, rational course: Turn CBS into the antidote to Fox News.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>&#8212; Starting Monday night, retitle the CBS evening news <EM>The CBS Essential<br \/>\nTruths<\/EM>.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>&#8212; Co-opt the Fox News slogan: Instead of &#8220;We report, you decide,&#8221; try &#8220;We decide, the<br \/>\nbloggers report.&#8221; (Just think of the money you&#8217;ll save on forensic document experts.)<\/P><br \/>\n<P>&#8212; Bring back Edward R. Murrow. Sure, he&#8217;s dead.
