I believe George Bush has surrounded himself with enough of the right people for<br \/>\nme to know he is a godly person.&#8221;<\/P><br \/>\n<P>It&#8217;s helpful to know that <A class=inline\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.songsofdavid.com\/christianjazzartists.shtml#R.Bernsen\"\ntarget='new\"'><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>Randy Bernsen<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A> is a<br \/>\ngodly person himself, if being a member the Calvary chapel mega-church in Fort Lauderdale and<br \/>\nof a group called <A class=inline href=\"http:\/\/www.songsofdavid.com\/christianjazzartists.shtml\"\ntarget='new\"'><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>Christian Jazz<br \/>\nArtists<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A> does the trick. More helpful would be the answer to this<br \/>\nquestion: Is Bernsen&#8217;s jazz godly? <\/P><br \/>\n<P>Judging from this recording <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.cdbaby.com\/cd\/bernsen2?cdbaby=08dd4ea6c46e46d567823d81c0c49eb4\"><B\n><EM><FONT color=#003399>Live @Tavern 213<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>, I&#8217;d say not a<br \/>\nchance. Even recorded live &#8212; scratch that, <I>especially<\/I> recorded live &#8212; he sounds no better<br \/>\nthan canned. Some folks, like <A class=inline href=\"http:\/\/inallthings.com\/rb\/review.htm\"\ntarget='new\"'><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>these reviewers<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>,<br \/>\nwould beg to differ. Make up your own mind. Here&#8217;s a home video sample of <A class=inline\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.randybernsen.com\/sound\/SlapMed.mov\" target='new\"'><B><EM><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Bernsen playing solo<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>.)<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Admittedly, he does have a way with a title. Here&#8217;s a cutie: <A class=inline\nhref=\"http:\/\/sudo.3.pro.tok2.com\/Quest\/cards\/R\/RandyBernsen\/MusicForPlanets.html\"\ntarget='new\"'><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>&#8220;Music for Planets, People &#038; Washing<br \/>\nMachines.&#8221;<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A> Maybe he sounds better on that CD, although I doubt it.<br \/>\nBut whatever his jazz sounds like, as a polite friend says, &#8220;if he really thinks the stuff falling from<br \/>\nthat tree is fruit, he must have the eating habits of a coprophagus.&#8221;<\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Postscript from a reader:<\/STRONG> &#8220;Enjoying being petty: I listened,<br \/>\nwatched, and winced. I think &#8216;canned&#8217; is extremely generous.
