For instance, when asked Tuesday whether the<br \/>\nPentagon was considering the <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2004\/04\/21\/politics\/21MILI.html?hp=&#038;adxnnl=1&#038;adxnnlx=1082\n552635-\/aorUBedhX+5YdTnPOgc8w\"><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>deployment of more<br \/>\ntroops<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A> to Iraq, he replied: &#8220;Are we considering it? No. But have we<br \/>\nprepared? You bet.&#8221; <\/P><br \/>\n<P>It would take the editors of the Oxford English Dictionary to parse the difference, and even<br \/>\nthey couldn&#8217;t do it. Not when Rumsfeld also said that in case the top U.S. military commander in<br \/>\nIraq wants more troops &#8220;we&#8217;ve made arrangements to have them replaced&#8221; and &#8220;were [he] to<br \/>\nrequire still additional forces, we have thought through that as well.&#8221;<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Get it? Mr. You Bet is not considering additional troop deployments. He&#8217;s merely made<br \/>\narrangements and thought them through. God help us if we ever get used to his equivocations.<br \/>\nUnless our &#8220;hopes and dreams&#8221; are no longer owned by him, or <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/herman\/archives20040401.shtml#76458\"><B><EM><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Mr. Waffles<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>, or Crony in Chief Cheney, or anyone<br \/>\nelse in the little fucker&#8217;s administration, we&#8217;re headed for worse troubles than troop deployments<br \/>\nin Iraq.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Which reminds me. Have you heard of the NO-CARB Diet for 2004? <BR><BR>NO<br \/>\nC-heney<BR>NO A-shcroft<BR>NO R-umsfeld<BR>NO B-ush<BR><BR>Oh, and absolutely<br \/>\nNO RICE.
