Just to show we&#8217;re not completely illiterate, we searched the Web for a more<br \/>\navant-garde form of <I>poesy<\/I> (a word so quaint). Here tiz: A poem that keeps making the<br \/>\ne-mail rounds and doesn&#8217;t rhyme. It was reportedly assembled by Washington Post writer Richard<br \/>\nThompson from <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/usa\/story\/0,12271,807587,00.html\"><STRONG><EM><FON\nT color=#003399>actual sentences<\/FONT><\/EM><\/STRONG><\/A><FONT color=#000000><br \/>\nmumbled by our Maximum Leader: <\/FONT><\/P><br \/>\n<P><I>I think we all agree, the past is over.<BR>This is still a dangerous world.<BR>It&#8217;s a<br \/>\nworld of madmen and uncertainty<BR>and potential mental losses.<BR>Rarely is the question<br \/>\nasked,<BR>Is our children learning?<BR><BR>Will the highways of the Internet become more<br \/>\nfew?<BR>How many hands have I shaked?<BR>They misunderestimate me.<BR>I am a pitbull<br \/>\non the pantleg of opportunity.<BR>I know that the human being and the fish can<br \/>\ncoexist.<BR><BR>Families is where our nation finds hope,<BR>where our wings take<br \/>\ndream.<BR><BR>Put food on your family!<BR>Knock down the tollbooth!<BR>Vulcanize<br \/>\nsociety!<BR>Make the pie higher! Make the pie higher!<\/I><\/P><br \/>\n<P>If you&#8217;ve seen this before &#8212; we know it&#8217;s old &#8212; our apology. We felt that nobody would mind<br \/>\na bit of whimsy, even old whimsy, on a Monday morning. Also, we realize a few of the lines are<br \/>\ntoo bizarre to believe, their provenance notwithstanding.
