SUPERNATURAL<\/em>\n\nIn the pissing rain last night\na skywide lightning show\nflashed for half an hour.\nNo thunderbolts,\nno crackling static,\njust a distant thunder <\/strong><\/strong>\nfaintly rumbling elsewhere. <\/strong><\/strong>\nThe blackness of the night\nturned white, a most amazing\nstrobing whiteness everywhere\n\u2014\u2014 the kind of thing to stir\nbelief in mythic gods,\nto fend off fear<\/strong>\nand decorate the supernatural.<\/strong>\n\njh<\/em><\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
