Krassner&#8217;s most recent<br \/>\n<A href=\"http:\/\/www.nypress.com\/print.cfm?content_id=9052\"><B><EM><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Zen Bastard<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A> column in the New York Press, begins<br \/>\nwith a tidbit about <I>Der Gropenfuhrer<\/I> that must have had the Los Angeles Times eating its<br \/>\nheart out.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>Krassner writes: <\/P><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE>Maybe I should start selling &#8220;I Told You So&#8221; t-shirts. Five years ago, I<br \/>\npublished this item: &#8220;Here&#8217;s a story about the arrogance of power even the tabloids won&#8217;t publish.<br \/>\nAt a dinner party, Arnold Schwarzenegger told a young woman he would give her $1000 if she<br \/>\nwould stick her finger up her ass and then let him smell it. She refused. Later, he followed her into<br \/>\nthe bathroom and forcibly stuck his own finger up her ass. He did not pay her. She is an actress<br \/>\nand has not brought a lawsuit because she fears it would hurt her career in<br \/>\nHollywood.&#8221;<\/BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<P>And he reminds us:<\/P><br \/>\n<BLOCKQUOTE>The morning after California&#8217;s recall election, on <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/abc.go.com\/daytime\/theview\/show.html\"><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>&#8220;The<br \/>\nView,&#8221;<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A><EM><FONT color=#003399> <\/FONT><\/EM><A\nhref=\"http:\/\/abc.go.com\/daytime\/theview\/bios\/meredith_vieira.html\"><B><EM><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Meredith Vieira<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A> demonstrated to <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/abc.go.com\/daytime\/theview\/bios\/joy_behar.html\"><B><EM><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Joy Behar<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A> the new governor&#8217;s special handshake.<br \/>\nVieira simply placed her right hand on Behar&#8217;s left breast. Amidst laughter and applause, Behar<br \/>\nasked, &#8220;Can I please have my nipple back now?&#8221;<\/BLOCKQUOTE><br \/>\n<P>Nobody has ever accused Krassner of lacking imagination. But given the facts as he<br \/>\nunderstands them, he doesn&#8217;t need to imagine anything. Not when scientific studies, the Internet,<br \/>\ntelevision and the news media offer prime material that requires no embroidery. The rest of his<br \/>\ncolumn, taken directly from all those sources, is proof that all he does is make the indispensible<br \/>\nconnections. That, of course, does&nbsp;require a Zen master.<\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Postscript:<\/STRONG> Krassner isn&#8217;t the only one mocking <I>Der Grope.<\/I><br \/>\nDave Letterman&#8217;s <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2003\/SHOWBIZ\/TV\/10\/21\/letterman.schwarzenegger.ap\/index.html\"\n><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>getting in his licks<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>.<\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Neglect Paul Krassner at your own risk.&#8221; So sayeth Skeets Gallagher.
