I think the best film<br \/>\nwas Scorsese&#8217;s on the first night of the series. The rest &#8212; beginning with Wim Wenders&#8217; &#8212; have<br \/>\nbeen missed opportunities. Very dull, though I love the music. Here&#8217;s <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2003\/09\/28\/opinion\/28SUN3.html\"><B><EM><FONT\ncolor=#003399>another take<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>. <I>(Free registration required.)<\/I><br \/>\nSpeaking of music on television, did anybody catch Elton John this morning on the <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/ellen.warnerbros.com\/\"><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>Ellen DeGeneres<br \/>\nShow<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>? I&#8217;m not a big fan of his, but that was a real concert grand he<br \/>\nwas playing on &#8212; big as an oceanliner, and at least he&#8217;s a real musician. Don&#8217;t forget to click <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/ellen.warnerbros.com\/\"><B><EM><FONT color=#003399>Ellen&#8217;s Web<br \/>\nsite<\/FONT><\/EM><\/B><\/A>.
