It&#8217;s been a lot of fun before, though you&#8217;d never know it<br \/>\nfrom this <A href=\" http:\/\/festival.newyorker.com\/slides.htm\"><FONT\ncolor=#003399><EM><STRONG>not-very-engaging slide<br \/>\nshow<\/STRONG><\/EM><\/FONT><\/A> of previous fests. Will somebody please clue The New<br \/>\nYorker folks into the technological&nbsp;wonders&nbsp;of the Web? They make&nbsp;the<br \/>\nparty&nbsp;look dull, like snapshots from a rumpus room circa&nbsp;1955.<\/P><br \/>\n<P>All of today&#8217;s <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/festival.newyorker.com\/schedule_919.cfm\"><EM><STRONG><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Fiction Night<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/EM><\/A>&nbsp;readings are sold out,<br \/>\nexcept for three pairings &#8212; <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.randomhouse.com\/boldtype\/0200\/antrim\/interview.html\"><FONT\ncolor=#003399><STRONG><EM>Donald Antrim<\/EM><\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/A> and <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.nypl.org\/research\/chss\/spe\/rbk\/faids\/stone.html#Bio\"><EM><STRONG><FO\nNT color=#003399>Robert Stone<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/EM><\/A>&#8216;s, <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.twbookmark.com\/books\/9\/0316171441\/\"><EM><STRONG><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Charles D&#8217;Ambrosio<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/EM><\/A> and <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.popentertainment.com\/price.htm\"><EM><STRONG><FONT\ncolor=#003399>Richard Price<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/EM><\/A>&#8216;s, and <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/writers\/writerdetails.asp?userid=2VBXYPSBMX&#038;cid=10\n77319#interview\"><FONT color=#003399><EM><STRONG>Maile<br \/>\nMeloy<\/STRONG><\/EM><\/FONT><\/A> and <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.identitytheory.com\/people\/birnbaum46.html\"><FONT\ncolor=#003399><EM><STRONG>Thomas McGuane<\/STRONG><\/EM><\/FONT><\/A>&#8216;s.<br \/>\nPoor kids &#8230; left at the altar.
