Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, took up a full page yesterday in The New York Times. The heading was &#8220;It&#8217;s Time to Dial Back the Rhetoric in Poland.&#8221; I have no expertise in the matter, but I couldn&#8217;t help recalling <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/herman\/2007\/03\/no_polish_joke_its_ecumenical.html\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jewishtheater.org\/Jewish%20Theater\/Tuvia%20Tenenbom.htm\">Tuvye Tenenbom<\/a><\/a>&#8216;s take on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jewishtheater.org\/Jewish%20Theater\/LetterFromPoland.htm\">situation of Polish Jews<\/a> and the video he made during a period when Lauder claims things were looking up for them. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/herman\/2007\/03\/no_polish_joke_its_ecumenical.html\">Tenenbom<\/a> recorded what he called \u201crampant\u201d anti-Semitic graffiti everywhere in the city of Lodz.
