The archive itself has long been spoken of by scholars as well as fans. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Clay writes that Sanders &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.granarybooks.com\/collections\/ed-sanders\/writing-projects.html#poetry\">poet<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.granarybooks.com\/collections\/ed-sanders\/writing-projects.html#manson\">writer<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.granarybooks.com\/collections\/ed-sanders\/fuck-you-press.html#top\">editor<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.granarybooks.com\/collections\/ed-sanders\/peace-eye.html#top\">publisher<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.granarybooks.com\/collections\/ed-sanders\/activism-assorted.html\">activist<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.granarybooks.com\/collections\/ed-sanders\/fugs.html#top\">cofounder of the Fugs<\/a> with Tuli Kupferberg &#8212; organized the archive over a 10-year period and produced &#8220;a 219-page finding aid\/inventory\/narrative document.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The archive contains approximately 354 boxes (primarily \u201cbankers boxes\u201d), 54 spring binders (exceeding 8,300 pages), 39 3-ring binders, 27 archival boxes, 10 photo boxes, 23 boxes of audio and video tapes, 7 filing cabinets, approx. 60 books, 21 shelf-feet of alphabetical and chronological files, 1 mimeograph machine, 11 electronic musical instruments (The Electronic Bard System), the Peace Eye Bookstore sign, and assorted other items.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh, meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ed_Sanders\">Sanders<\/a> has a new book out, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Sharon-Tate-Life-Ed-Sanders\/dp\/0306818892\/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&#038;ie=UTF8&#038;qid=1453746146&#038;sr=1-1&#038;keywords=ed+sanders+sharon+tate\">Sharon Tate: A Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So the Ed Sanders Archive, a massive hoard of literary and countercultural materials, is finally for sale.
