Ouch! \"JASON<\/a> “Karl Rove Won’t Be Charged in CIA Leak Case.”<\/strong><\/font><\/a> So says a WashPost headline. And here’s the same headline<\/strong><\/font><\/a>, word for word, in The NY Times. (Well, it was<\/i> a verbatim duplicate until moments ago.)
\nSo will Jason Leopold be chastened? I don’t think so.<\/strong><\/font><\/a> (He’s the freelance who reported<\/strong><\/font><\/a> that Rove would be indicted, touching off a wave — make that a tsunami — of Internet and press speculation.) But then I’m no one to talk, having written here<\/strong><\/font><\/a>, “I wouldn’t bet against him on the Rove indictment,” despite my doubts about his work<\/strong><\/font><\/a>. Methinks the “rampaging egomania,” which I objected to in Leopold’s memoir (“On the Record,” since retitled “News Junkie”<\/strong><\/font><\/a>), keeps getting in his way. Wish it didn’t.
