That&#8217;s why we posted it. This morning&#8217;s New York Times offers an endorsement with its lead editorial, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2006\/01\/12\/opinion\/12thur1.html\" class=inline target=new\"><strong><font color=#003399>&#8220;Judge Alito, in His Own Words.&#8221;<\/strong><\/font><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.suntimes.com\/output\/news\/alito12.html\" class=inline target=new\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"MRS. ALIOTO [Photo: AP]\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/herman\/archives\/alito_wife_011206_285_1.jpg\" width=48 align=left border=0 \/><\/a>Though it lacks Leon Freilich&#8217;s meter, the editorial gives more than enough reason to reject Alito&#8217;s nomination to the Supreme Court &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2006\/01\/12\/politics\/politicsspecial1\/12wife.html\" class=inline target=new\"><strong><font color=#003399>Mrs. Alito&#8217;s tears<\/strong><\/font><\/a> notwithstanding &#8212; by breaking down the judge&#8217;s Senate testimony into these categories: evidence of extremism; opposition to Roe v.
