He said it again at the antiwar protest in Washington, where he once more termed the current occupant of the White House a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.democracynow.org\/article.pl?sid=05\/09\/26\/1434200\" class=inline target=new\"><strong><font color=#003399>war criminal who deserves to be impeached<\/strong><\/font><\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.democracynow.org\/index.pl\" class=inline target=new\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ramsey Clark\" src=\"http:\/\/images.democracynow.org\/images\/story_images\/ClarkR9-26.jpg\" width=70 align=left border=0\/><\/a> The Nuremberg judgment calls the war of aggression the supreme international crime. It&#8217;s the first crime against peace. There can be no war crime until there&#8217;s war. It leads to all of the crimes against humanity. It is a supreme international crime. And George Bush&#8217;s \u201cShock and Awe,\u201d a synonym for terrorism &#8212; isn&#8217;t it? \u201cShock and Awe\u201d &#8212; was a war of aggression.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The whole assault,&#8221; Clark went on to say, &#8220;was built on deliberate lies, not misinformation, not poor intelligence. They knew damn well what they were doing. They wanted to do it, and they did it. And every moment of this invasion, which takes the lives of Iraqi people every day, is an illegal occupation.&#8221;<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s not just the Iraqis being killed, as we know too well. But it&#8217;s mostly them, and so long as the slaughter continues &#8212; by the Sunni insurgents, the Al Qaeda suicide bombers,  all the other Islamofascist brigades, and not least the largely U.S. and British occupying troops &#8212; all our Bullshitter-in-Chief&#8217;s pious declarations about making us a safer nation and the world a freer place are blind posturing to hide his guilt.<br \/>\n<I>&#8211;Tireless Staff of Thousands<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Fallujah is the Guernica of our time,&#8221; former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark has said over and over.
