The NYT has an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/04\/16\/arts\/otto-petersen-the-voice-of-vulgarity-dies-at-53.html?ref=todayspaper&#038;_r=0\">obit<\/a> for the ventriloquist, calling him  &#8220;the Voice of Vulgarity.&#8221; But there is no separate obit for George, the foul-mouthed dummy who delivered all the tasteless lines that made audiences laugh or walk out. <\/p>\n<p>Margalit Fox, whose great lede I stole for my headline, notes: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p><font size=5>No subject was sacred, and George\u2019s myriad observations could range over matters sexual, scatological, urological, gastroenterological, racial, bestial, theological and homicidal.
