What else would you call this past Sunday&#8217;s New York Times Book Review? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/140004314X\/qid=1128976335\/sr=2-1\/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1\/104-2010817-7872729?v=glance&#038;s=books\" class=inline target=new\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"THE  YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING, by Joan Didion\" src=\"http:\/\/images.amazon.com\/images\/P\/140004314X.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg\" width=160  ALIGN=RIGHT border=0\/><\/a> It featured <A href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2005\/10\/09\/books\/review\/09pinsky.html\" class=inline target=new\"><strong><font color=#003399>Robert Pinsky&#8217;s notice on the cover<\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/A> (trying too hard, it was dully academic),  along with a lovely <A HREF=\"http:\/\/graphics8.nytimes.com\/images\/2005\/10\/10\/books\/cover184.jpg\" CLASS=INLINE TARGET=NEW\"><STRONG><FONT COLOR=#003399>family photo<\/FONT><\/STRONG><\/A> from Didion&#8217;s private collection, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2005\/10\/09\/books\/review\/09donadio.html\" class=inline target=new\"><strong><font color=#003399>Rachel Donadio&#8217;s profile of her<\/strong><\/font><\/a>, a two-page spread that ran so long it spilled over onto a third page (also dull, sad to say).
