(Check out that website and the ones run by your favorite store.) <a href=\"http:\/\/floweringtoilet.blogspot.com\/2011\/04\/other-providence-area-record-stores.html\">Here<\/a> is a post by an old friend about Providence-area record stores.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who loves a record store &#8212; and these days Amoeba Hollywood, Rockaway Records in Silverlake and Pasadena&#8217;s Canterbury are some of my favorites &#8212; knows that the experience of visiting one is much richer than calling up iTunes or dropping into a typical mall store. One of the key differences is the clerks at a good record store.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the favorite pieces I&#8217;ve ever written are these two, about <a href=\"http:\/\/articles.latimes.com\/2003\/aug\/25\/entertainment\/et-timberg25\">classical<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calendarlive.com\/cl-wk-cover9dec09,2,7683326.story\">pop music<\/a> clerks.
