Dater&#8217;s been experiencing a bit of a career revival lately, with a recent show at San Francisco&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/deyoung.famsf.org\/exhibitions\/judy-dater-only-human\">de Young Museum<\/a>, which has now come to Loyola Marymount University&#8217;s art gallery, and a beautiful, career-spanning book of her work, <em>Only Human<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Dater is a case of an artist who&#8217;s remained close to a handful of abiding concerns, and a visual style she hit on relatively early, who has managed not to repeat herself.
